Our focus, at the ACSEN Group, has always been on innovation, research, and development. We deliver the best products and services rooted in ethical and environmentally sustainable practices. ACSEN’s businesses include manufactured textile products and renewable energy solutions to meet the unique needs of a variety of industries and customers. The ACSEN brand represents all our people across our diverse businesses, each driven by the group’s core beliefs and values.
ACSEN Tex, ACSEN’s textile vertical, is among the top companies pioneering environmentally conscious textile manufacturing in India. The brand sustainably manufactures Lenzing and Grasim fibre-made yarn in the country. Our textile vertical is carbon neutral, water positive, powered by renewable energy generated in-house, and carries the GreenCo Gold rating by CII-GBC for its sustainability efforts.
ACSEN Tex was incorporated in 1998. Today, the brand’s capabilities include weaving and knitting yarn of Viscose, EcoVero, Tencel, and Modal ranging from the 20s to 40s count using Ring Spinning and Vortex Spinning technology. The manufacturing facilities, located at Attur, in the Salem District of Tamil Nadu, use the latest modern machinery from brands like Trutzschler, Rieter, Zinser, LMW, Suessen, and Muratec.
Ever driven by our group’s core belief, ACSEN Tex has transitioned to renewable energy. We address all our power needs in-house through our brand Rasi-g-Energy. Our mills are powered by nine windmills, with a total capacity of 12.25 MW, and solar panels, with a capacity of 2.3 MW. We also distribute our surplus energy resources with other enterprises that align with our environmental strategies.
ACSEN Tex is also water positive. We conserve 26% more water than we consume and meet 100% of demand through substitutes like rainwater and water recovery systems. The brand works to improve groundwater quality both within and beyond its fences. The net groundwater recharged through our initiatives stands at 55%. This is the result of our in-house strategies and desilting and rejuvenation projects, like the Manivizhundan Lake.
The idea of a "Happy Planet, Healthy People" has greatly influenced all business and activities carried out by the ACSEN Group. Guided by our core belief, the ACSEN Foundation approaches inclusive growth and sustainable development through innovation, participation, and collaboration with society at large.
Whether at our vegetable seed brand, ACSEN Hyveg, or our textile vertical, ACSEN Tex, people are at the heart of all we do. As an organization, our mission is to drive development and transformation for women and children at the grass-root level through education, health, hygiene, and wellness programs. We also work extensively to address society’s most important challenges in sustainability, conservation, and positive climate action.
